**Main Accountabilities**
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Identify and manage all onsite mental health emergency situations.
+ Conduct assessments in the following areas.
+ Intake Assessments
+ Mental Health Status Assessments
+ Crisis Intervention Assessments
+ Addictions Assessments
+ Psychosocial / Psychoeducational assessments
+ Provides informal and formal mental health counseling services to Baffinland employees and contractors.
+ Brief Solution Focused
+ Narrative Talk Therapy
+ Critical Incident Debriefing
+ Cognitive Behavioral
+ Dialectical Behavioral
+ Mindfulness Based Counselling
+ Humanist / Client Centered Counselling
+ Anger Management Counselling
+ Addictions Counselling
+ Group Therapy
+ Collaborate with on-site and off-site service providers in the delivery of enhanced mental health services.
+ Utilize a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach to practice.
+ Advocate for and assist clients in accessing community resources (mental health, health care, housing, emergency protection orders etc.).
+ Maintain up to date records, documentation and maintenance of patient files in a confidential manneri
+ Coaching, training, and development of site leadership team in various areas of mental health and awareness.
+ Maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports.
+ Carry out thorough risk assessments and monitoring of clients.
+ Provide education regarding positive mental health and work to decrease stigma regarding accessing services. (ie. Mental Heath Mondays)
+ Provide mental health orientation and training for employees and management.
+ Collaborate with other professionals to develop treatment plans for clients.
+ Assist clients to manage their emotions through de-escalation strategies.
+ Build relationships with community health resources.
+ Assessment of individual clinical and psychosocial needs, urgency, and acuity.
+ Collaboration with Family Physicians and/or other caregivers to provide care, including monitoringDemonstrated ability to tolerate ambiguity and embrace change.
**Main Qualifications**
Bachelor’s Degree - Bachelor's degree or better in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or a related field.
Master’s Degree - Masters degree or better in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or a related field
