Health Advocates Network is seeking a **Mental Health Counselor** to work at a Facility in **Baltimore, MD.** This is a registry position with our company. **Pay Rate:** $50 / hour *W2 **Shift Details:** + Sunday 6:30pm-10pm, Monday through Thursday 12pm-8pm **Job Summary:** We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team at a school in Maryland. The School-Based Mental Health Counselor will provide counseling and support services to students, families, and school staff, promoting mental wellness and emotional well-being within the school community. **Responsibilities:** - Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues - Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' academic and social-emotional success - Conduct assessments to evaluate students' mental health needs and develop treatment plans - Provide crisis intervention and support for students in emotional distress - Educate students, families, and staff on mental health topics and resources - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and support for students - Maintain accurate and confidential counseling records and documentation - Stay current on best practices in school-based mental health counseling and therapeutic techniques - Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in counseling practice **Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field - Licensed or certified as a Mental Health Counselor in Maryland (LCSW-C/LCSW/LCPC,LMSW) - Experience providing mental health counseling services to children and adolescents - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community - Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based counseling techniques - Understanding of school-based mental health services and regulations If you are a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Counselor with a passion for supporting the emotional well-being of students in a school setting, we encourage you to apply for the School-Based Mental Health Counselor position in Maryland.
