Description
Basic Function:The Mental Health Program Manager will be responsible for daily management and operations of the Mental Health Program, including Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Services. The Manager will provide administrative supervision to program staff to ensure all services are delivered according to local, state and federal laws and in compliance with contractual requirements. The Manager is responsible for ensuring quality of care for all mental health participants.
Principal Accountabilities:
+ Oversee daily operations of the mental health program, ensuring all administrative processes run smoothly.
+ Coordinate schedules and appointments for mental health professionals, maximizing patient access.
+ Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant regulations.
+ Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
+ Assess and monitor Behavioral Health Clinician engagement in their professional practice and patient care
+ Work closely with site managers and SBHC sites, to address day-to-day concerns, ensure solid onboarding of new providers, and provide other support as needed.
+ Lead and/or participate in initiatives to promote and grow Mental Health Services.
+ Lead development and implementation of innovative care models as applicable.
+ Ensure scheduling standardization to support efficient practices and consistency between locations.
+ Participate in quality initiatives and utilization review activities as requested.
+ Manage patient feedback and implement improvements to enhance client satisfaction.
+ Ensure the provision of quality behavioral health services to patients, including assessment of patient satisfaction, provider competency, clinical support activities, etc.
+ Participates in efforts to maintain the financial sustainability of the behavioral health discipline, including promoting behavioral health provider productivity
+ Member of the Quality Management Program, preparing monthly reports to trend outcomes and key performance indicators.
+ Participates in routine and ad hoc committees and meetings, representing the clinical aspects of the organization, as needed
+ Participates in the recruitment, retention and assignment of behavioral health and psychiatric providers
+ Engages in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, ensuring compliance with the standards for distinction in Behavioral Health
Requirements
Knowledge/ Education Requirements:
A. Bachelors Degree in Public Health or comparable field preferred. Combination of experience and Associates Degree will be considered.
B. Prior experience in office management or administration, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting
C. Must be able to lead, fostering a team approach among the behavioral health providers and clinical support staff, contributing to the overall vision and mission of the organization
D. Promoting the organization’s code of conduct, safety rules and adherence to all company policies
E. Carry out job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner
F. Cooperate, work, and communicate with staff, supervisors, management, and patients in a professional manner
G. Computer proficiency with Electronic Health Record
H. Ability to display compassion and work well in stressful situations
I. Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position
Salary Description
$50,000-62,000/ year Depending on Experience
