Job Description:

Completes mental health assessment and functions as member of a program team providing services to individuals and families with mental health needs in their setting. Provides assessment, treatments and case management for mental health program clients.

Allina Health has a robust Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line that offers the full continuum of care including integration, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction and co-occurring services, partial hospitalization and day treatment, and inpatient care. There are more than 290 mental health and addiction clinicians dedicated to the highest quality patient care across 45 primary care clinics, 6 integrated psychiatry locations, 4 hospital-based clinics, 15 partial and day treatment programs, 15 Allina and affiliated Emergency Departments, and 7 hospitals with 270 inpatient beds. The Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line is led by both psychiatry and psychology clinical leadership, in partnership with operations to advance mental health care for patients across Allina Health.

Principle Responsibilities

Assessment.Assesses level of risk to self and others.Assesses level of patient functioning.Evaluates for programming needs.Documents as required and notify team of risk assessment.Plans and conducts therapies.Assesses patient and family needs.Assigns patient to specific group and/or individual therapies according to treatment plan.Conducts groups and individual therapies as scheduled.Case manages assigned patients and works with team to provide optimal care.Promotes role in maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees.Follows safety/security procedures for emergency and non-emergency situations.Reports and documents safety concerns.Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Master's degree in psychology or related fieldMay consider Bachelor's degree, if hired prior to 2010 and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in individual and group therapy2 to 5 years in mental health field

Pay Range

Pay Range: $30.39 to $41.65 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
