Mental Health Services Clinical Supervisor/MH Counselor
Location: West Salem Clinic - Mental Health
Position Status: Full-Time
Office Hours: Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
YOUR ROLE:
Provide clinical supervision for all outpatient Mental Health providers including qualified mental health associates (QMHA's), qualified mental health professionals (QMHP's), interns, case manager, and the Psychiatric Intake Coordinator. Perform as a Mental Health Counselor and Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) for at least 20% of scheduled time.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
The clinical supervisor will provide, and document oversight of mental health treatment services supplied by any assigned QMHP, QMHA, internship staff, case managers, and Psychiatric Intake Coordinator. Supervision of Counselors, BHC, and interns will include evaluation of effectiveness and timeliness of mental health services. Documentation of supervision sessions will be recorded, filed, and routinely discussed with the MH Program Manager. Supervision will occur on a routine basis as necessary for each provider following Oregon ISSR guidelines.
The clinical supervisor will provide supervision and oversight of the Behavioral Health Case Manager.
The clinical supervisor will also provide the following support and oversight to the Psychiatric Intake Coordinator:
+ Supervision will occur on a routine basis as necessary.
+ Have familiarity with breadth of intake coordinator role and associated systems/processes.
+ Review and complete draft Incident Reports (IR’s) for psychiatric patients initiated by intake coordinator.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Assure quality of clinical services and assist MH Program Manager and Psychiatry Clinical Lead with continual program development to meet the needs of the clients.
2. O versees quality improvement activities related to clinical documentation for all Mental Health services, ensuring compliance with requirements set forth by the Behavioral Care Network and the Joint Commission.
3. Serve as on-site leadership to all mental health staff and the psychiatric intake coordinator.
4. Assess the nature and extent of client's MH and COD presenting problem, engage in readiness for treatment conversations, respond to other appropriate behavioral support requests, and formulate a plan for service that addresses MH and COD issues.
5. Provide mental health treatment to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Master's degree in counseling, social work and/or other degree in Mental Health field.
+ Must have board certified licensure in field of study, have the ability to supervise and participate in continuing education as a condition of licensure.
+ Has a current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) training certificate consistent with AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, and covers breathing and cardiac emergencies - including CPR, AED, and obstructed airway - for adult, child, and infant patients.
+ Experience providing clinical supervision of master's level counselors.
+ Experience providing clinical supervision to interns.
+ Experience of treatment with CMI and case management
