This position exists to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered nurse in charge of the unit.

Ability to understand, follow instructions, reading and writing skills required, effective communication and interpersonal skills, a stable emotional makeup required to work and remain calm in a stressful, fast paced environment.

Physical demands include lifting, moving, walking and standing for long periods of time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; use computer, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, and lift to 50 pounds.
