Primary responsibilities include providing initial consultations, individual counseling, group therapy, relationship counseling, and crisis counseling to University of Utah students. Opportunities for supervision and training of masters-level social work interns are possible. Counselors may also be asked to provide campus outreach presentations and UCC programming and workshops as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. **Minimum Qualifications** Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W. **) certificate for clinical practice and two years directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; ability to communicate verbally as well as in writing; and experience with conflict resolution when counseling individuals, couples and groups required. Experience working with community resources, instructing and supervising Social Workers, Interns and other caseworkers preferred. Five years of experience may be required in some areas.** An L.C.S.W. is earned after completing 4000 hours of Social Work experience and a passing score on the L.C.S.W. exam. At a minimum, candidates must demonstrate eligibility for licensure for independent practice in Utah as follows: For Social Work, have completed a Masters of Social Work with licensure as a Clinical Social Worker ( CSW ). Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in college student mental health. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
