The CADD Conroy Summer Intensive Treatment Program of Western Psychiatric Hospital is a behavioral health program designed to meet the unique behavioral health needs of at-risk children and adolescents. Therapeutic activities are used to increase adaptive and functional communication skills, strengthen peer socialization skills, and decrease maladaptive behaviors to improve a young person’s ability to function more successfully at home, school, and in the community.

This hire for this position will assist clinical staff in a summer intensive-treatment program serving children and adolescents with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. The program operates from June 16th through August 8th, from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM. The set rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. In addition to the listed qualifications, our ideal candidate must be able to work uninterrupted through the duration of the program (i.e.- no vacations, scheduled daytime summer courses, etc.). This position does not offer college credits. The dress code is casual and free street parking is available.

Responsibilities: 

·       Provide direct supervision and therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents.

·       Support children and adolescents in achieving their treatment goals, using encouragement, problem-solving, and behavior modification.

·       Co-lead individual and group activities

·       Consistently apply knowledge of crisis intervention and behavioral management

·       Intervene with students and families during crisis situations.

·       Complete daily clinical progress notes.

·       Collect, calculate, summarize, and graph performance, observational, rating scale, checklist, interview, and/or self-report data when requested.

·       Participate in weekly treatment team to report progress.
