Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

 

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the community? Do you have a knack for connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Community Mentor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of community members.

 

Role Model and Support: Serve as a role model for assigned individuals, providing support and assistance to other service providers to enhance service delivery to individuals and their families.Transportation: Provide transportation for individuals, including escorting them to appointments or recreational activities. Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned place of work.School Problem Resolution: Participate in resolving school-related issues for individuals.Case Management: Provide case management and coordinate services to assist other staff members working on the case. Qualifications

Are you a good fit?

You will be working in the heart of our community. This role may involve travel within the community to meet clients in their own environments.A flexible schedule is important for this role and allows you to have control over your session planning.Effective interpersonal communication skills and organization skills will ensure success in this role.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma required.Experience: Volunteer or work experience with children and families is preferred.Driver's License: Valid Virginia driver's license required. Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace, with potential to provide services in neighboring counties.
