MEP Commercial Manager
MEP Commercial Manager- Nordics Region 

To €130,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Package  

Our client is an established Tier 1 contractor with extensive operations in Ireland, UK, and Europe. Due to a full order book across all regions, our client is now looking for an experienced and highly skilled MEP Commercial Manager for Data Centre projects. As MEP Commercial Manager will lead all commercial, contractual, and cost management aspects of MEP works on high-value data centre projects ensuring financial and contractual oversight from pre-construction through to final handover. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

Work closely with Project Manager to develop, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met and prepare accurate and complete financial reports, highlighting any issues and recommending effective solutions where necessary.  

Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports ensuring accurate and timely billing, invoicing, and collection of payments.  

Lead the MEP procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation of terms, and contract award ensuring that all goods and services are procured at the best value while maintaining quality and schedule requirements. 

Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for clients and stakeholders maintaining strong relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. 

Provide accurate financial forecasting, cash flow projections, and reporting to senior management.  

Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors, contract managers, and cost controllers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. 

Ensure that all commercial activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. 

Oversee the financial closeout of projects, ensuring that all final accounts, invoices, and payments are settled. 

Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management and membership of a professional institution such as RICS or similar is desirable. 

Significant years of experience in a commercial role within construction/engineering, preferably within Data Centre & main contractor projects.  

Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts and commercial risk management.  

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data, identify risks, and make informed decisions to maximise profitability. 

Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships, negotiate contracts, and resolve disputes effectively.
