Kier Group are looking for a Commercial Manager to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) which is our internal MEP Self Delivery business.

Kier Mechanical & Electrical support our internal build teams across the UK and have full design, construct and commissioning capability with our core sectors including Defence, Health/Science, Custodial, Commercial and Education.

 

Location: Basingstoke (Office), Weybridge (Projects)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Ask us about other flexible options.

 

*Time will be split between Basingstoke and Weybridge.

 

What will you be responsible for?

 

As a Commercial Manager you will manage the Commercial resources and provide leadership across a range or portfolio of projects. You will lead teams and develop the Commercial strategy across pre-contract, post contract and procurement activities.

What will you remit include?

Commercial control and ownership of portfolio of projects. Monthly reporting and oversight of Cash, Risk and Margin Management Support growing and managing the commercial team across the projects. Ensuring project comply with procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews. Provide legal and contractual advice to the wider team on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration. Contribute to the wider commercial community, to support high performance culture.

 

What are we looking for?

 

In a Commercial Manager we are ideally looking for:

Experience in managing and reporting a portfolio of projects. Track record in delivering multiple projects successfully. Experience with projects in the science sector is advantageous. Experience of projects with MEP values over 10 Million. The ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team. To uphold and demonstrate the kier 9 healthy behaviours.
