Our client is a leading multinational construction and engineering contractor, headquartered in the USA and operating across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East. With a global workforce of over 9,000 and an annual turnover exceeding €6 billion, they specialise in delivering high-tech projects across key sectors, including data centres, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, photovoltaics, battery plants, and specialty chemicals. They provide a full turnkey service, covering design, construction, and handover, encompassing civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) works, mechanical and electrical (MEP) systems, and commissioning.
The need now exists for an experienced MEP Commissioning Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of all mechanical and electrical systems within construction projects ensuring that these systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to the project specifications and industry standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Establish MEP commissioning plans and programs following the project requirements, specifications, and standards.
Work with the project QA/QC, project AP department, designers, and subcontractors to ensure that the MEP commissioning activities are aligned into project objectives, schedules & workflows.
Supervise the execution of MEP commissioning activities to ensure proper installation, operation, and performance.
Work closely with the MEP installation teams to conduct testing, performance verifications and system integration testing.
Ensure that MEP systems comply with design specifications, regulatory standards & requirements and inspect to identify errors and deficiencies.
Work with project teams to develop solutions for errors or deficiencies and ensure timely resolution of MEP commissioning related problems.
Keep track of accurate records of MEP commissioning activities including tests procedures, inspection reports and equipment documentation.
Prepare commissioning reports & documentation such as test scripts, compliance statements and other related documents ready for submission.
Communicate with project teams to ensure smooth transaction & handover of commissioned systems to facility owners & operators.
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Proven record of accomplishments in MEP systems commissioning within construction with focus on data centre and pharmaceutical projects.
Knowledgeable in MEP commissioning standards & guidelines.
Effective organisation, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledgeable in commissioning software and tools.
