Ensures merchandising priorities, strategies and tactics are aligned with the standards of the facility and follow the established merchandise plan. Drives retail experience, revenue and margin goals for the property.
Essential Duties: Works with Corporate Director of Retail on all retail strategies including planning and analysis, margin development, product assortment and inventory controls. Establishes merchandising plans, implements action steps and adjusts plan based on progress towards goals. Maintains effective stock levels in designated items and categories and ensures stock presentations are appropriate for all Sells and maintains golf shop merchandise while providing superior member and guest Places, tracks and processes special orders for members and guests. Receives merchandise, prices merchandise, enters into POS system, and monitors inventory Presents merchandise in attractive displays adhering to established visual merchandising standards. Works closely with the accounting office on accounts receivable and accounts payable Ensures available discounts are utilized. Maintains receiving log and assists accounting in reconciliation of general ledger monthly. Ensures stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to Ensures replacement and return policies are adhered to including processing and tracking of retail transfers and RA’s. Maintain accurate inventory through established Troon merchandising and accounting procedures Coordinate checking, receiving and invoicing of all golf shop merchandise Process and track all inventory transfers and RA’s Coordinate and participate in monthly physical inventories Communicate with facility accounting department regarding inventory and invoice issues Ensures follow-up on past due orders and that canceled orders are communicated Compiles and monitors daily sales forecasting Develops and manages all merchandise needs for group outings, corporate and other events on property. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Merchandisers, Sales Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new Develops ongoing training programs. Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in aeas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses. Regular and reliable Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in related field; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
Physical Demands:Regularly stands, walks, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
