Overview (Text Only) About the role The role of a Merchandiser – Product Allocator is to execute product assortment and allocation by department/store to assist in the achievement of the Division’s annual sales, (gross margin) profit and stock turn targets, as well as be responsible for the distribution and replenishment of stock ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time. Responsibilities What is involved Inform decisions on product inventory management and distribution to achieve sales and profit targets. Monitor and manage stock levels ensuring efficient product delivery and distribution. Analyse sales performance and implement replenishment strategies. Collaborate with buyers and planners to analyse market trends, competitor activities, and past sales data. Allocate product SKUs, sizes, and assortments, ensuring alignment with planning models and buyer strategies. Conduct product testing and sales trials in collaboration with buyers to optimise merchandising strategies. Extract and analyse historical data to create the most efficient size profiles Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders including senior leaders, vendors, district and store managers. Monitor emerging issues, trends, opportunities and best practice innovations in the retail, sports and fashion industries, and monitor the status of the major competitors of Foot Locker. Qualifications About you Undergraduate business degree or 1-3 years’ experience in a retail allocations/merchandising role. Good understanding of merchandising principles with ability to apply them in product inventory management decisions. Good ability to identify and analyse Merchandising challenges and offer solutions. Confident and effective communication skills to be able to collaborate with various teams. Adaptable and flexible to the changes in inventory needs, stock levels and market demands in a dynamic business environment. Strong attention to detail to uphold the highest standards in overall operational excellence. Familiarity with cutting-edge inventory management software and tools. Demonstrated ability to maintain composure, focus, and productivity in demanding and stressful environment. Advanced skills in creating and formatting spreadsheets/reports. Experience collaboring with cross-functional teams whilst fostering a harmonious and productive work environment. Basic understanding of store operations, layouts, and sales patterns to effectively optimise inventory distribution Knowledge of Foot Locker's product range.
