Merchandising Operations Support Specialist

Purpose:

The Merchandising Operations Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all product-related data and partnering with support teams (merchants, suppliers, compliance, e-commerce, and other business stakeholders) to safeguard and ensure the highest level of product data accuracy and integrity.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be self-motivated and eager to dive into our product data. The Merchandising Operations Support Specialist will cultivate strong partnerships with merchandising, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to drive meaningful business impacts and build improved processes to regulate our growing product assortment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlinesIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP, etc.)Effective communication skills – Ability to tailor communications across audiences and clearly articulate the data findingsInnovative spirit to work cross-functionality in developing process improvement ideasAbility to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing environmentProblem solving skills to identify and resolve the root cause of issues and creativity to drive continuous improvementPerform well in high pressure situations, balance competing priorities, and demonstrate the ability to work without significant direct supervisionDesire Bachelor’s Degree in related field.Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience

Essential Job Functions:

Fosters collaboration within merchandising and with cross-functional partners (packaging, quality assurance, inventory, etc.) to drive value and collectively identify and resolve data/system issuesEstablish and maintain close partnership with merchandising team to ensure data quality; access all data requests are accurate and meet specific requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams for data integrity and process improvementsAs subject matter expert (SME), create/update training documents and host training sessions for Master Data Management system enhancements and troubleshootingParticipate in regular meetings with various stakeholders to discuss current projects or enhancement requestsMaintain familiarity of all product attributes, how each product category uses them, how they impact downstream systems, and how we can improve consistencyAssist the data governance team with discussions of new attributes or values by collecting detailed information from merchandising on the need for it and the impacts on other teams and downstream systemsDrives continuous learning by proactively identifying opportunity areas, translating them into structured analysis, generating actionable insights, and advocating for proposed next steps to key stakeholdersHelp to create and maintain standards, definitions, documentation and organization for metrics, reports, and merchandising dashboardWork with merchandising and cross-functional teams to understand end-to-end processes and data requirementsAd-hoc data analysis to support business stakeholdersSupport merchandising with data integrity issues and questions to promote data accuracy and consistency

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL & ENVIRONMENT):

Limited travel may be required including air and car travel.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
