RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Merchant Accounting and Settlement Analyst you will review credit card batch transactions, and balance and reconcile the flow of funding between the Merchants, the Card Brands and Deluxe. A majority of your time is spent reviewing data in excel spreadsheets and developing reports for external and internal customers.
Research and resolve merchant settlement issues related to rejected or returned transaction activity
Perform daily settlement balancing between clients, Deluxe and Card Brands (Visa/Amex/Discover/Mastercard)
Carry out quality assurance functions for statement review and settlement
Review, research, and resolve rejected/returned merchant activity
Reprocess rejected activity for clearing and settlement
Log activity into Excel reports and notate merchant systems
Responsible for daily reconciliation of incoming frontend files, outgoing card brand files, and daily reporting to sponsor bank, ensuring processing integrity for us and our customers
Daily settlement balancing $90M + in funds and reporting to Sponsor Bank
Complete internal daily volume tracking to help with forecasting and profitability
Complete quality assurance on a subset of credit card processing statements
Complete quality assurance for non-profit settlement on weekly ACH, monthly fees and monthly residuals
Research and process reversal and/or rekey requests
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors Degree in Business or related field AND 0 years of experience; OR HS/GED AND 4 years of Bankcard industry experience
PC experience with Microsoft Office products
Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Desired but nor required)Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
