Merchant Analyst
Job Title: Merchant Analyst Job Description The Merchant/Merchant Analyst is primarily responsible for conducting market analysis and pricing analysis of primary agricultural products and then negotiating/trading bulk product between customers and the plant managers of agricultural elevators utilizing shuttle freight, DETs, COTs, single rail cars, and trucks. The Merchant Analyst will work with the other members of the team to work toward operational goals while maintaining quality and efficiencies. Hard Skills + Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business-related field, or 4 years industry experience + Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. + Experience with Market/Trend Analysis and Pricing Analysis. + Ability to effectively present market/financial/pricing information. + Ability to craft financial reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Soft Skills + Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently. + Strong communication skills. Job Type This is a permanent position.
