Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for maintenance strategy and task execution that results in high levels of availability for facilities and capital equipment. They will repair, program, and maintain production equipment and machines. and are responsible for the upkeep of the buildings, such as electrical, plumbing, and heating and cooling systems. Duties may involve pipe fitting; insulating; welding; pneumatics; hydraulics; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; repairing buildings, floors, and ceilings and troubleshooting in accordance with the blueprints, manuals and building codes. Technicians usually work full-time, which may include nights, weekends, and on-call hours for emergencies.

Essential Functions:
Keep machines, mechanical equipment and the structure of establishment running during production.Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and hydraulic, electrical, and electronic testing devices.Perform routine Preventive and Predictive Maintenance as per the schedule to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.Prioritize the work based on importance and delivery time of the project and production schedule.Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment according to the layout plans.Inspect gages, valves, pressure regulators, drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery and remove any scrap material.Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.Order replacement parts by for the machines by selecting a vendor after research for part prices/availability, manufacturer's specifications, warranty status, estimate approval or other related items for cost-effective investment.Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work in the PIMS work order database.Work using safe practices while maintaining compliance of all safety regulations.Implementing improvements and participating in safety/OSHA training and committees.Maintains complete documentation for each manufacturing machine regarding repairs, upgrades, and other relevant data in the PIMS work order database.Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to the Supervisor.Report any accident occurred in the plant related to person, equipment, material or any other to the Supervisor as soon as possible.Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Employee Handbook and adhere to proper code of conduct.Ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.Ensures work area is clean and safe at the end of each workday.Attend scheduled training programs to enhance skills and for safety purposes.Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or a GED: technical training certificate: Microsoft Office experience.Minimum of (3) years’ experience in a maintenance and manufacturing environment.Advanced knowledge of blueprints and electrical diagrams, troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals.Analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills that require basic English language aptitude (verbal and written).Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work above 20 feet above ground in a scissor or man lift: have a current and valid driver’s license.Preferred Qualifications:
An emphasis on technical troubleshooting, working with heavy machinery; install, maintain, modify, electrical systems in plant; mechanical/electrical/electronic repair or comparable education and training relating to facilities and capital equipment maintenance.Proficient in the use of safety lockout/tagout procedures, including the ability to work safely with 110, 220, and 440 voltages.Willingness to travel and receive additional training for new technologies in machines and equipment.Working Conditions:
Manufacturing setting.Certain areas non-temperature controlled.Physical Demands: The job can be physically demanding, requiring technicians to lift heavy tools and equipment, and work in various positions.Work Environment: Technicians often work in noisy, industrial settings with exposure to machinery and potential hazards.Overtime: May be required to maintain operations.Safety Gear: Proper safety gear, such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses, is essential to protect against potential hazards.Pay Grade 11: $31.98 - $34.85
The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
