Our Externs will have the opportunity to gain additional preceptor clinical experiences at one of the following hospitals and be paid at an hourly rate while doing so: Mercy Hospital Southeast (1701 Lacey St, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701) Participating in a Mercy Externship will help you... Better understand the nurse role in an acute care facility Build more confidence in providing direct and indirect patient care Engage in additional clinical preceptor time to increase approved nursing skills under the direction of your preceptor: IV therapy Foley care NG tube care and tube feeding ostomy care POC, phlebotomy and specimen collection simple dressing changes Participate in head-to-toe assessment Trach care Limited opportunities, so please make sure you apply by October 7th, 2024.
