Job Title : MeRiT Field Service Engineer

Location : Dongtan, Pyeongtaek

Overview

ZEISS Korea is looking for a highly technical, independent, and self-motivated individual to join the SMS Service team to support our rapid growth in the semiconductor business. The successful candidate should have an interest, knowledge, and background in Field Service role of semiconductor industry instrumentation. He/She should possess an excellent theoretical understanding of fundamentals and the ability to explain the working principles of these instruments clearly and concisely to non-experts in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for providing quality repair, preventive maintenance service and complete installation at customer sites.
2. Perform analytical problem-solving, multiple technical tasks and may coordinate work of assigned engineers.
3. Perform on-site preventive maintenance. Order and replace defective units, components or parts as appropriate.
4. Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions.
5. Determine corrective actions required and/or escalate for assistance and prompt resolution.
6. Assist with installing and/or relocating equipment at customer’s site.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned by Field Service Engineer

Other Job Responsibilities:
[ Leadership ] : May Provide on-site instruction to sub-contractors and customers.
[ Customer Relation ]

1. Professionally represent the company to the customer. Be committed to customer satisfaction and develop good customer relations by maintaining standards of conduct acceptable to both ZEISS and customers.
2. Interaction with customer mainly at engineer level.
3. May be required to update customer on status of ZEISS tools and escalations.

The essential requirements of the job include:
1. Bachelor’s degree of electronics / Display engineering or other applicable field
2. Have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset and can work independently and self-driven.
3. Proficiency in both spoken & and written English language is required.
4. Have experience in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment adhering to company procedures.
5. Work in constrictive clean room environment, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment.
