Metadata & Taxonomy Program Manager

We’re seeking an exceptional Program Manager with a successful track record, developing and executing emerging programs that support metadata and data generation as well as system and data model evolution. The Metadata Innovation team partners closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Data Science in addition to stakeholders across the business to organize and evolve metadata and associated mechanisms for increasing member value. In this role, you have the opportunity to lead our program development for Metadata & Taxonomy, partnering with functional and regional teams around the world. The ideal candidate has launched high-impact, high-scale global programs with rigor in the application of program management best practices, including stakeholder engagement, establishing communication practices, launch planning, strategic alignment of outcomes to goals, management of program scope and timelines, proactive risk mitigation, and collaboration. Within the Product Metadata and Ratings team, you will partner closely with Metadata & Architecture Projects, Taxonomy & Governance, Content Understanding, Ratings Policy, and Planning & Data Operations, to launch and deliver initiatives that leverage metadata, data, taxonomy, systems and AI solutions that improve our ability to launch and promote content effectively with our members, while working with stakeholders to discover, plan and execute on the highest impact initiatives. Key Responsibilities + Develop and execute program launch plans for your portfolio(s) in partnership with Product Metadata and Ratings leadership and key partners. + Effectively manage a cross-functional, global stakeholder set with a solution-first resolution approach while driving clarity in problems to be solved across technical and non technical audiences, while establishing relative priorities, program timelines and scope + Overview resourcing impacts for your programs and partner with PMR leadership for internal resourcing needs, as well as Operations teams for initiatives that leverage vendors + Adeptly manage risks across the Metadata & Taxonomy portfolio and consider higher order tradeoffs; partner in contingency plans + Progress reporting and tracking for key milestones, goals, OKRs, and learnings + Run program-specific meetings, own follow-ups and tracking of deliverables + Partner with Metadata & Architecture Projects and Taxonomy & Governance teams in launch and delivery of impactful solutions + Model consistent best-in-class program management Qualifications + 5+ years in a program management role + Understanding of metadata or AI programs and projects + Strengths building cross-functional relationships, developing program launch plans, and delivering programs and projects while articulating progress and success + Proven track record effectively managing complex programs across broad stakeholder sets with aligned goals, met objectives, budgets and timelines with stellar quality + Delivered highly effective solutions for metadata and/or data management by incorporating tooling, User Experience Testing (UAT) and vendor resourcing + An eye for continuous improvement and an appetite for additive processes that improve delivery and launch capabilities + Data-driven approach to problem-solving and analysis; managing accountability for deliverables + Experience with algorithm-assisted and vendor-supported workflows + Propensity towards optimization and quality assurance with a focus on defined objectives + Driven partnerships for tooling and workflow implementation, including issue resolution and end-to-end analysis + Identified and resolved risks to successful program delivery + Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter, navigate effectively in ambiguity and willingness to pivot as needed + Excellent verbal and written communication skills and extraordinary attention to detail + Strong judgment in executing on deliverables + Consumer-first, stakeholder-first mindset + Critical thinking, creative problem-solving skills + Proficiency in the Google Suite, AirTable, or other program and program management/reporting/ tracking tools Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $70,000-$370,000. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
