Metal Fabrication Estimator

Our client, a leader in custom steel fabrication, design and installation services for material handling and processing systems has immediate openings for an experienced Estimator to join their team! This position is based in Sandy, Oregon and we are looking for individuals who want to learn and grow within this team!

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to generate & review mechanical drawings and build estimates for pre-existing & custom industrial steel and metal components, conveyor systems, duct work, HVAC  & insulation, and pneumatic systems.  Building RFIs, RFQs, material & labor take off, scope of work documents & change orders Consult with engineering and department personnel as needed to resolve problems and ensure the fabrication processes and project timelines are aligned with total estimate packages Submittals Client and vendor communication, price negotiations

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

A minimum of 1-3 years experience in AutoCAD and/or Solid works / Inventor Experience and knowledge with MS Office suite.  Familiarity or experience estimating materials such as stainless steel and metal for pulp / paper mills, food processing facilities, and industrial manufacturing facilities  Possess a strong knowledge of metal and steel, and an understanding of the competitors and vendors in the market. Experienced with fast turnarounds and managing quick-turn projects while often shifting from one project to another to meet tight deadlines.
