Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesThe main missions of the role are:
○ Understand market value
- Understand the market for a given product line: competition, technology, norms and regs, segmentation, price trends, customers, and end-users
- Describe and document market and customers expectations for engineering and sales department
- Build sales & marketing diagnostics and identify business opportunities: growth, profitability, innovation, cost improvement
- Provide market oriented ranking criteria to prioritize our innovation portfolio
○ Build value offer
- Contribute to innovation projects in his/her product field
- Provide support and orientation to innovation projects (identify the target customers and models)
- Assess the market opportunities of new offerings
- Participate to the definition of new offerings: functions, specs, price, positioning, and market approach
- Contribute every year to the product plan
- Contribute to the business plan and participate to present it during innovation project milestones
○ Deliver value
- Involved in bringing the innovation to the market successfully: support acquisition process, define the product communication (selling tools, demonstrators,...)
- Participate to the definition of a value based pricing policy (together with costing, engineering and sales)
- Follow the deployment of the product strategy: product improvement, footprint strategy, cost improvement, profitability
○ Interact with a community of people involved in his product range (transversal management)
he ideal candidate will have/be :
Minimum Education Level: Master or Bachelor in Engineering Degree and/or Business.
Experience :
o Experience in industry in either sales, project management, marketing, costing or engineering
Nice to have: Automotive experience would be an advantage
