**Metallurgical Technician II - Englewood, CO** Type: Contract to Hire Shift: M-F 7a-4p (90/80 schedule, every other Friday off) Pay Rate: $23-$25/hr **ESSENTIAL DUTIES:** + Perform sample inventory, weigh, sample photograph and drying in correct procedure + Demonstrate knowledge of the operation, pre-use and post-use inspection, and procedural use of Jaw Crusher, Riffle Splitter (Gilson Splitter), Rotary Splitter, and Bowl Pulverizer/Herzog Auto Pulverizer equipment, ensuring pulverized products meet fineness quality. + Use ore sample preparation equipment, knowing the process flow for ore sample preparation and knowing how to use the ore sample equipment and the safety of using the equipment + Knowing the requirement for each individual test work for ore sample preparation i.e. sizing product for flotation test work and bond work test + Prepare new ore samples for metallurgical testing; i.e., crushing, splitting and charge making + Perform dry screening in every type of samples and follow the procedure, perform sieves cleaning and follow the procedure, demonstrate discipline in maintaining sieves + Maintain sample storage and retrieval records such that samples can be located following test work programs + Perform sample coning and quartering, grinding, screening/grind studies, titrations, sample preparation, reagent preparation, and metallurgical bottle roll and agitation cyanidation tests. + Conduct filtration and specific gravity checks, column leaching with cyanide, acid, and bioleaching, carbon loading and activity test work, slurry sample splitting with slurry rotary splitter, and gravity separation tests using the Knelson gravity machine and hand panning the Knelson concentrates. + Demonstrates and perform HIT (Harness Index Tester) test work and ability to maintain HIT testing equipment95% **Experience:** + 0-2 year experience in a relevant field is preferred. + High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in science related field preferred. + Must possess basic computer skills such as ability to enter data into common spreadsheet and word processing programs such as Excel or MS Word. + Capable of solving basic mathematical problems. + Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. + Capable of understanding written procedures, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and job safety analyses (JSA’s). + Basic understanding of computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database. + Able to work with a diverse group of people. + Capable of understanding flowsheets, drawings, and written and verbal procedures. + Read, comprehend and interpret documents including but not inclusive to Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, warning signs, instructional manuals As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
