What are we looking for?

The Metallurgist Laboratory Technician is responsible for materials testing processes, handling and preparing samples, and providing written analysis in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate for the Metallurgist Laboratory Technician role will have a desire to work in learning environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.

Shift/Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday-Friday

What you'll do:

The Metallurgist Laboratory Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager and is responsible for supporting lab operations on a day to day basis Handles the ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) scan Completes pulverization sample preparation  Performs acid digestions and analysis Conducts bottle roll testing on samples Utilizes column testing techniques Documents results of testing and investigations in technical reports Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelors in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering (required) 1+ years of experience (preferred) Basic understanding of leaching and flotation (required) Attention to detail Strong problem-solving and communication skills Technical writing Analytical thinking skills
