Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager for Metals Fabrication (Level K) to join our dynamic Fabrication team in Hazelwood, Missouri.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
(In either a Fabrication-Style or Assembly-Style environment)

Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

High School diploma or GED.

3+ year of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.

3+ year of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.

3+ years of experience in a Fabrication environment (Automotive, Food Products, etc).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Hands-on experience as a Tooling, Assembly, or Process Mechanic.
(Applicable experience in other trades may be considered as well)

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline

Experience within BDS Fabrication / Assembly

Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN (9 Tactics, 8 Wastes, 7 Flows, 5S, etc)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Summary pay range: $96,900 – $131,000
