METCAL Senior Logistics Administration Specialist

KBR is seeking a Senior Logistics Administration Specialist for Meteorological and Calibration Program (METCAL) team in support of PMA-260 NAVAIR Calibration Support Team in our San Diego, California location.

NAVAIR’s Common Aviation Support Equipment program office (PMA-260) is responsible for the procurement, development and fielding of Common Ground Support equipment and Automatic Test Equipment.  Additionally, this command serves as the lead manager of the Aircraft Maintenance and Material Readiness List (AMMRL), Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) and Mobile Facilities programs in support of the Naval Aviation Enterprise.

This position directly supports NAVAIR PMA-260 METCAL program at NAS Patuxent River Maryland. Position located in San Diego, California.

Role and Responsibilities:

Performs project management and technical support for the NAVAIR PMA-260 METCAL program.  

Analyzes, organizes, plans, and administers various phases of day-to-day operations for one or more basic METCAL programs using established procedures.

Works to solves complex problems and works independently with minimal guidance and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Analyzes basic contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine provisioning of spares or maintenance/repair requirements.

Assists in developing logistics plans to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.

Ensures that colleagues follow established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.

Assists in conducting distribution and network studies, monitors inventory, and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.

Ensures NAVAIR METCAL program and their uses of best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve Group’s products or services are adhered to.

Assists the Program Manager with budget monitoring, reporting project status and plan, execute, and monitor all aspects of the assigned project management of this contract. 

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

Master's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s degree. OR

Associate’s degree plus four (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s degree. OR

Additional Ten (10) years’ work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s degree and

Required Experience:

Ten (10) years of combined experience performing duties described in the Roles and Responsibilities.

An active secret level security clearance.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hours/week

Compensation:

$86,350 - $129,580

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.

Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
