This includes but is not limited to the installation, programming, testing, maintenance and inspection of electric and gas meters and electric and gas distribution automation equipment. + Provides supervision of the Meter Shop Storeroom and Warehouse operations including stocking, shipping and receiving of material in support of the Meter department and district operations + Supervises and oversees the PPE testing lab and personnel ensuring yearly calibration and testing standards to provide tested/safe PPE to personnel in a timely manner + Supervises the preparation, review and submittal of reports and studies regarding tests, installations, removals, load surveys, budgets, PSC required programs and other yearly programs + Plans and supervises assigned workforce to maintain the highest level of productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction + Investigates and resolves complaints, coordinates customer service needs with other departments as required, and ensures that customers are treated fairly and consistently + Must be active in the supervision of day-to-day activities, while maintaining vision of the bigger picture and providing leadership to ensure objectives and results stay aligned with Group and Corporate objectives + Promotes and maintains a safe workplace for employees, contractors, and the general public + Responds to requests to work outside of normal work hours; provides support for storm restoration efforts **What does it take to be a Meter Supervisor?** **Required:** + Associate’s degree in Business Administration, STEM, or a related field and 3 years of operational or supervisory experience. In lieu of an Associate’s degree, a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of operational or supervisory experience + Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills along with strong organization and planning skills + Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Must be willing to respond to all requests to work outside of normal work hours + Ability to manage a wide variety and number of projects and deadlines + Valid driver’s license **Preferred:** + Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, STEM, or related field + Supervisory experience and/or experience directing field work + Experience within the electric and gas utility industry Applications will be accepted until **March 12, 2025** .
