The Head Start Teacher 2 is under the direct supervision of the Head Start Center Manager and the general supervision of Head Start Assistant Center Manager. Typical Duties + Help children develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally + Plan, document, and implement daily lesson plans and special activities + Attend staff meetings, training and other related meetings as requested + Responsible for all consultation(s) with parents + Maintain current records, perform tasks associated with the education component, and assure confidentiality + Maintain proper supervision of children at all times indoors and outdoors + Document and implement integration of component events in the classroom (i.e., handwashing, toileting, tooth brushing, preparing children for health services and community visits) + Report any children concerns to the (assigned) Parent, Family, Community, and Engagement Advocate + Report suspected child abuse or neglect to the immediate supervisor + Insure daily implementation of the family style food service + Support and assist volunteers serving in the education program + Assume other task-related duties as requested Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Valid Driver License.
