Position:  Metrology Engineer

Location: Lat Krabang, Bangkok

 

Expertise: Lab Measurement and standard testing method and equipment, Visual Inspection and calibration method, Metrology audit and cosmetic audit

 

This role will take the lead on setting up a program to follow and implement test methods and calibrations as per Essilor Group standards.    To implement and improve cosmetic inspection program and system.  Scope: MP and Rx of Asian plants.  To implement QMS and standardization with Essilor referential to make these programs effective.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Design, conduct and maintain Test method audit program to all existing ALM and AEL plants including to maintain effectiveness and standardization of CAPA raise from the audit program. Establish, implement and qualified for Test method and certify Testing laboratory regarding to Referential standardization to new entry ALM and AEL Plants. Introduce and verify new Test method technologies, equipment, and related standard to all ALM and AEL plants to ensure the plant procedure and method are compliance and follow the referential standard. Design, conduct and maintain Cosmetic and Product audit program to all existing ALM and AEL plants including to maintain effectiveness and standardization of CAPA raise from the audit program. Qualification for Cosmetic inspection standard and program to new entry ALM and AEL Plants. Introduce and qualified to ensure compliance for new Group / Global Cosmetic standard and related issue to all ALM and AEL Plants. Reference Inspector representative for all ALM and AEL Plants. Calibration and ensure gauge R&R for ALM and AEL plants reference inspector and masters equipment use for inspection system. Coordinate to develop, provide and qualified for competency training for new Metrology and Cosmetic inspection standard to Asia plant expertise / representative. Benchmark and standardization for Metrology and Cosmetic inspection system to the plants. Cascade and coordinate with Global to escalate, exchange and establish or update the Metrology and inspection standard through Test Method Technoclub, Standard Change Request or Referential working group. Maintain effectiveness of community to exchange and standardize test methods and cosmetic inspection.

 

Requirements

Bachelor / Master degree in Engineering  or Science in the field of Chemistry / Material /Industrial /Physical  Electrical / Mechanical or its equivalent. Desirable/Preferable: Knowledge of quality processes: metrology, test methodology, calibration – however applicants from other industries are also encouraged to apply. 3-5 year of working experiences. Project management skills and know- how will be an advantage Solid knowledge of Quality tools ( Statistic, Minitab and FMEA ...) Proficient in MS Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint , google drive ) Proficient in English (read, write, speak) and may require to travel in the zone around 10-20% Non-technical skill required: leadership, organization skills, clear and effect communication, action and result oriented, ability to animate and mobilize the teams.
