They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.Tasks and Responsibilities

 

Support Assembly Line: Ensure smooth startup, ramp-up, and centerlines of assembly machines while maintaining safety and quality standards. Process & Quality Improvement: Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and lead cost-reduction projects (e.g., line flow and process improvements). New Product Integration: Collaborate with Design Engineering and Project Management to transition new products to production, ensuring smooth implementation. Production Support: Ensure adequate equipment, tooling, and documentation meet TE Quality System requirements. Engineering & Process Optimization: Conduct capability studies, implement corrective actions, and support engineering changes due to product updates or material shortages. Safety & Compliance: Work with Production and EHS teams to enforce safety measures and best practices. Continuous Improvement & Mentorship: Stay updated on manufacturing innovations, contribute to management discussions, and mentor assembly personnel. What your background should look like:

 

Engineering degree in mechanical/electrical or electromechanical engineering. 1 to 3 years of similar experience. Experience in fully automatic and precise processes  Detailed knowledge in complicated fully automatic machines. Prove and effective problem-solving skills.
