Job Summary

The MGB Clinical Director of Diagnostic Radiography (XR), under the general supervision of the Sr. Director, AMC Radiology Operations, will be directly responsible for the clinical and technical operations, quality, safety, and compliance for the BWH/MGH/MEE departments of XR and partner with the Diagnostic Service & Division Chief(s). The XR Director will also serve as the MGB Enterprise subject matter expert (SME), in partnership with XR M.D. leadership and local site leaders to ensure harmonized workflows, regulatory compliance, supplies, equipment, etc.


 

Qualifications

Education:
Master's Degree - MHA or MBA, required

- Study of focus in Healthcare Administration or Radiologic Sciences preferred

Licenses and Credentials:
- American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R), Required
- State of Massachusetts, Radiation Control Program License in Radiography (R), Required


Experience:
Progressive Management Experience in highly matrixed healthcare organization - 5-7 years required

Progressive Technologist experience - 8-10+ years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must possess analytical abilities necessary to effectively utilize advanced knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, procedures and anatomy to direct activities, develop policies and procedures, ensure compliance and evaluate procedures and equipment.

2. Must have the ability to adapt to changing pace (stressful situations) within the department, with frequent interruptions

3. Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative under pressure in a variety of situations.

4. collaboration and communication skills at all levels of a complex organization

5. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with departmental staff, medical staff, patients and other hospital personnel.

6. Fluent in Microsoft Office
