Mgr, Analytics and Data Science Job Summary

The Manager of Analytics and Data Science is responsible for driving overall Polaris’s enterprise analytics maturity focusing on Off Road Operations.  You will accomplish this by leading a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, empowered to deliver end-to-end analytics applications. Interaction with senior level leaders in Polaris’s business unit to develop strategies to deliver everything from training of embedded business analysts to ad hoc analyses and insights. You will be partnering with manufacturing team members, as well as business unit functional areas to leverage data driven decisions creating effective data collection and reporting, insights analysis & recommending solutions to the business.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Decision-Making: Responsible for providing data-driven insights that directly influence key business strategies and operational decisions, impacting overall company performance.Lead the development and implementation of analytics tools and reports that enhance efficiency and empower thousands of employees across the entire network.Designing executive reports and presentations that leverage Business Storytelling to effectively communicate key business insights and strategic narratives.Partner and engage with other Polaris Innovation teams including Polaris Engineering, Service, Legal, IS, Regulatory and other groups as required.Develop actionable insights by putting in place high-speed, real-time reporting and visualization capability.Serve as the representative of the Off-Road Operations team on I/S projects to ensure quality project delivery that ensures system capability, budget and schedule.Develop and execute a business engagement strategy to accomplish all the above.

Experience & Skills5+ years of work experience in an analytics-focused role including 2+ years managing a team.Excellent presentation, communication, Business Storytelling and analytical skillsExperience with data rationalization and processing from a diverse set of data sources (ETL).Highly proficient with data mining/visualization/predictive modeling tools such as SQL, Power BI, R, Python, Alteryx.Strong knowledge of statistical methods and predictive/analytical modeling techniques and practices.Experience working in an agile environment a plus.
