Manager, Inpatient Care Management

Principal Accountabilities: Directs department operations on a continuous basis. Manages teams of both MSW, RN Case Managers and ancillary staff. Updates senior management and staff on operational and functional improvement opportunities. Ensures budget monitoring processes are in place and action plan established to address variances. Communicates effectively as hospital AHS system advocate to patients, family staff and community. Assures Quality standard of profession practice occurs, Ensuring safe effective patient care and transitions of care. Practices process improvement principles within the department. Monitors updates to and ensures compliance of CMS COP, OSHA, state/federal regulations and Joint Commission standards. Continuously work with core processes for opportunities to improve quality and safety. Promotes and maintains effective collaborates with physician and intradepartmental relationships to ensure enhanced communications and improved service and performance. Ensure adherence to organizational mission, visions, values strategic goals and business strategies. Responsible for fiscal and material management of the department. Maintains an environment that promotes competency In this role, this leader will ensure optimal patient input, work to reduce length of stay and utilization of inpatient services Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Social Work or Master’s Degree professional Active RN Licensure in the state of NJ MSN or actively pursuing Master's Degree (MSN) Case Management Certified Required Experience Requirement: Hospital Acute Care Management Managerial current experience required min 5 years. Knowledge/implementation of operations within acute care hospital , setting. Knowledge/implementation of of condition of participation and transitions of care. Knowledge /implementation of payer /managed care systems. Knowledge/implementation of budget and department fiscal management; position support ; variance monitoring . Experience with Resource management, continuum and coordination of care. Experience with denial management. Experience with EPIC #LI-ES1
