Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** GENERAL PURPOSE: The Manager for Revenue Integrity is responsible for working across the professional fee organization, validating appropriate charge capture as well as consistency, improve efficiency of charge capture through systems analysis. Evaluation of professional charge capture as a component of provider-based billing (PBB) model implementation across all clinical departments to improve revenue capture and performance. Functions include, but are not limited to: system charge capture validation, pre-bill claim holds and edits, charge monitoring, charge analysis and standard reporting compilation. In conjunction with the Charge Capture Manager identifies and resolves charge capture consistency and quality issues which may include collaboration with regional affiliate facilities. The Manager is required to have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of all aspects of billing office operations. The Manager is responsible for staff training, staff management/supervision, office workflows, and functional training curriculum, including compliance requirements. The Revenue Integrity Manager reports directly to the Assistant Director of Business Operations. **Key Functions and Expected Performances** **With general direction of the Assistant Director of Business Operations and considerable latitude for initiative and judgment:** + Drives revenue cycle results by effectively identifying charge capture for all sources and mechanisms across all clinical departments. Collaborates with ISD teams including facility structure, OIC, and SMH revenue integrity with implementation of new departments as part of expansions and relocations to ensure accurate build and billing of professional charges. Facilitates internal UBO team recurring meeting. Partners with hospital revenue integrity resources surrounding provider-based billing model usage and changes. Partners with ISD teams, OIC, clinical departments, and internal UBO colleagues to implement or modify charge capture. **30%** + Monitors standard organizational metrics and utilizes data from all sources to create reports to meet the needs of all internal and external customers. Uses knowledge and experience to analyze detailed operational issues causing charge capture problems, and other charge related issues in regular reporting to the Assistant Director. Monitors effectiveness of charging efforts and works with Assistant Director to develop and implement strategies to improve charge capture across all payors and URMFG departments. **25%** + Manages the activities of employees under own supervision. Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates, and perform disciplinary actions as necessary following department and University guidelines. Constructs and monitors development plans and fosters functional unit employee engagement through focused team-building efforts, surveys and follow-up action plans. **20%** + Collaborates with UBO leaders at multiple levels to ensure key charge performance indicators are met and supports ongoing process improvement of charge capture efforts to meet the goals of the United Business Office. Implements approved changes and ensures that all impacted users/ process owners are engaged to ensure system build is modified/ created for compliant coding and billing workflows. **15%** + Keeps current on relevant areas of knowledge and acts as a resource to staff.
