KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager of OBR Product will lead all efforts related to Onboard revenue strategy. This role is directly responsible for ensuring all onboard products categories outside of High Seas Entertainment achieve their goals. Categories include Retail, Beverage, Dining, Internet, Spa, Photo, Arcade, Activities and Shows. The role will work closely with Marketing, shipboard operations and the Senior Manager of PCP to merchandise and promote products effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintains a successful collaborative relationship between Hotel Operations, Marketing, Sales (Call Center and Trade), IT, Accounting, International, and external vendors to deliver revenue-generating initiatives.
•Determines revenue targets and works closely with the various teams to address opportunities and challenges with the pricing and products.
•Analyze and Reports on performance for senior leadership.
•Implements revenue management pricing strategies with consideration for supply and demand. An innate understanding of price elasticity.
•Partnership Management with Starboard and Specialty restaurants which are unique on China Sailings; Drive product customization to fit China consumer taste where appropriate.
•Supports shipboard teams with inquiries regarding onboard revenue targets.
•Represents Hotel Operations in negotiations with Revenue Management and Sales for any onboard products included in ticket fare.
•Foster and empower the team with continued focus on communication, operations and analysis, encouraging ideas, discussions and cross-team learning of various job functions to guarantee success among all team members and the department.
•Launch new programs such as Sky Pad VR to drive additional Revenues.
•Perform other duties as requested by management.
In year 1 (2025) alone responsibilities will include:
•The makeover of all retail outlets onboard and 20% increased space for Starboard.
•The relocation of Pharmacy (Carel Plus) to the Perfumery after a refit.
•Launching of the new Sky Pad VR program
•Decision making over the continuation of Dadong in Wonderland or a move to Wonderland 2.0.
•Relaunch of the Key program in line with Global Standards.
•Bumper Car fast pass program for the summer peak months.
•Arcade 2.0 plan in partnership with Miami Arcade Teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree required
•7+ years related financial and business analysis experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel
•Strong computer and data analytical skills are required
•Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
•Knowledge of Hyperion, SQL, Visual Basic, Essbase and business intelligence tools preferred.
•Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical modeling, broad exposure to operations research, and statistics.
•Strong decision-making experience, critical thinking, cost/benefit analysis, using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches.
•Ability to interface at all levels within the organization and to influence and deliver results without the benefit of direct reporting lines.
•Strong communication and business acumen
•Experience managing a team of 4+
