**Country:** Mexico **Location:** Monterrey Technology Hub + People management, recruiting, development, performance management, and organizational strategy. + Promote a culture of safety, compliance, innovation, inclusion, technology, and intellectual property leadership. + Work with the product management leaders globally to establish a clear technology strategy, products, and platforms roadmaps. + Lead the team to maintain business continuity, deliver product changes, with the highest quality and safety standards. + Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical conduct in leading the organization, ensuring the protection of the environment, development of human resources, and application of sound business practices. + Lead/Develop the engineering team through the complete product lifecycle, from initial requirements to design, implementation, test, deployment, sustaining & end-of-life stages. + Help penetrate new markets and discern the competitiveness of new technologies. + Effectively represent the team internally & externally. + Work with Product Management to define product roadmaps and establish/manage project plans, schedules, and resources to meet milestones and objectives. + Partner with Operations to ensure deliverables integrate into their systems within the overall product release schedule. + Secure and keep agency Lab and product certification under UL and ETL + Serve as subject matter expert for sustaining engineering function, to include development and propagation of the company design guides and standards. Develop and maintain standard products that are world class, safe and cost competitive. + Provide professional and technical staff assistance as troubleshooting product support and guidance. + Collaborate with lab for demand based on Sustaining load and NPD activities. + Manages overall project requirements, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects. + Coordinates control engineering, industrial engineering, organizational studies, and project management. + Monitors budgets, cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and make recommendations to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met. + Manages work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects. + Provides analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and makes recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements. **Required Qualifications:** + BA/BS degree in Engineering, with 8+ years of relevant experience; or + MA/MS degree in Engineering with 5+ plus years of related work experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in product development experience in life safety products + Knowledgeable with regulatory agencies and standards including but not limited to UL/ETL and ANSI. + Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills to communicate technical issues across functions. + A demonstrated leadership style that is collaborative and decisive, with a bias toward speed. + Experience in Quality tools.. + Proficient with 3D CAD modeling tools + Proficient in Microsoft O365 + Proficient with PLM and Engineering Change Management tools and processes. + Proficient with ERP systems, preferably SAP + Simulation tools like FEA and CFD is a plus **Carrier is An Equal** **Opportunity/Affirmative** **Action Employer.
