Call us at 812-238-7827 or email us at recruiting@uhhg.org Manager-Clinical Quality Value Analysis Essential Job Duties: + Serves as a Supply Chain liaison to clinicians throughout the health system, identifying suitable substitute items during supply shortages and product conversions. + Leads Value Analysis program that includes multidisciplinary teams identifying and implementing opportunities for improved supplies, processes, contracted services, and cost savings. + Attend nursing leadership and governance meetings to collaborate on initiatives. + Works with manufacturer sales representatives and negotiates pricing. + Actively identify problems and opportunities for improvement; identify appropriate solutions and involve others in the implementation process. + Works with Hospital clinicians, distributors, and manufactures to develop appropriate product substitutions when product availability reaches critical level. + Evaluates the cost effectiveness of “reusable" verses "disposable" products for maximum cost effectiveness. + Supports the implementation/conversion of supply contracts. + Collaborates with education and clinical areas to ensure appropriate educational needs are addressed relating to changes in supplies and practice. + Completes appropriate reports as required. + Maintains confidentiality of financial information. + Frequent contact with vendors to obtain price/product/delivery information and specifications when necessary to research appropriate product placement/substitutions. + Knowledge in using a Materials Management Information System for data collection and review. + Demonstrates ability to initiate and complete projects. + Reports to the Director, Supply Chain. Education, Training & Experience + Bachelor’s degree and RN required. Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in management or clinical setting. + Requires strong customer service skills and the ability to facilitate and lead work groups. + Requires analytical and problem-solving skills including an understanding of cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies. + Previous experience evaluating products and services as well as experience leading a product evaluation/value analysis committee is strongly preferred. + Computer experience in word processing and spreadsheet applications. + Must work with a high degree of accuracy to avoid errors in analysis which may lead to inappropriate financial commitments. + Good grasp of standard written and verbal English, good spelling, accomplished at basic business math. + Flexible work schedule as required to meet department needs.
