POSITION SUMMARY
The project manager is responsible for the day to day operations and management of the construction and renovations department. Operations include managing an average of $40,000,000.00 worth of projects including scheduling, budget, quality, design, and compliance. Ensure staffing is at appropriate levels to complete jobs and acts as a personnel manager for the department. This includes evaluations, PTO management, corrective actions, and maintaining morale. Must ensure all projects conform 100% to all DHEC and Joint Commission regulations as well as all NFPA Life Safety and International Building Codes. Responsible for all Subcontractors working on projects and the management of these Subcontractors to ensure compliance with all regulations and hospital policies as well as maintaining proper schedule and budget. Must maintain an unlimited general contractors license for South Carolina and all work performed shall be performed under this license. Must develop departmental policies to ensure all work is performed to meet all guidelines and regulations including infection control. Must work directly with Infection Control to develop the Hospital’s infection control policies to meet the ever changing standards set forth by Joint Commission Guidelines. Responsible for the safety of all workers and visitors and must ensure all jobs comply with OSHA regulations as well as Hospital and Departmental policies. Must track all required Joint Commission and DHEC records and ensure all documentation is available and filed correctly. Must work with facilities staff and Hospital employees to ensure all value engineering is completed to meet the budget of the job while not sacrificing quality or eliminating critical and required items. Must take call for the facilities department and works hand in hand with the operations side of facilities to assist in problems as they arise.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Must have at least 10 years experience in all phases of rough & finish carpenter work.
At least 1 year experience at Leadsman. Experience in supervision of drywall work, concrete work, cabinet
building, painting and wall covering.
