Risk & Compliance Manager - APAC

This position works as part of the Risk and Compliance department, which is responsible for management of risk and compliance across the enterprise. As a member of the department, this individual will be committed to overall risk and compliance management and its role in the company's continued success. 

 

The Risk & Compliance Manager will have people management responsibilities for locally based risk, compliance, and anti-money laundering analysts that support UKG’s risk, compliance, and anti-money laundering and licensing programs.

 

This role offers the opportunity to be engaged in all facets of risk and compliance including privacy, third-party risk, anti-money laundering and licensing risk, regulatory compliance and risk management. 

 

The Risk & Compliance Manager will serve as an internal compliance and risk consultant, primarily responsible for providing support and day to day direction to a subset of the risk and compliance teams. This includes supporting Service Managers with resource planning, prioritization of tasks, providing support and guidance to staff, and escalating issues to senior management as appropriate.

 

The position demands an organized, action-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work and support multiple initiatives simultaneously.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support team of risk and compliance analysts working across multiple disciplines. Provide team with guidance and feedback on risk and compliance subject matters, priorities, and challenges encountered. Act as a liaison with the risk and compliance management team to ensure the work of local analysts is in line with the objectives and expectations of service managers. Manage day to day tasks for team members and assist with prioritization in accordance with Service Manager direction. Support risk and issue monitoring program utilizing GRC tool, LogicGate, and monthly reporting metrics. Develop relationships with key local stakeholders to understand business objectives and priorities to ensure risk and compliance program development efforts support the organization's goals and growth. Provide professional development guidance to local team members, coaching on areas of strength, opportunities for improvement and considerations for further development through training, on the job learning or professional certifications. Influence across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels to drive improvements in risk management and compliance functions. Serve as an internal risk management and compliance consultant to provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and support to business process owners and stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BS/BA degree in Law, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience. CCEP, CRCM, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or similar risk management, compliance, or information security certification is preferred. Proven experience in compliance and risk management, with experience of 5 – 7 years in the field. Demonstrated strengths in leadership, and experience managing operational teams. Experience directly managing and supporting a team of at least 4 individual contributors and developing junior team members. Experience in implementing risk management and compliance program operational activities in offshore business operations. Experience with GRC and Third-Party Risk tools highly desired. Familiarity with compliance management software and e-learning platforms and the ability to support new technology tools as needed strongly desired. Demonstrated experience with audit frameworks is desirable, including SSAE 18 SOC 1, AT101 SOC 2 or ISO27001/17/18, NIST and /or experience supporting regulatory and compliance programs in organizations with global operations. Ability to communicate in written and verbal form effectively and persuasively across all levels of the organization. Strong communication and customer focus is required. Ability to build relationships, drive consensus, and apply confidence in your actions are vital to success.
