The opportunity:


 The Quality Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in the application of quality principles, processes, and tools to improve product and service quality and operational results. The Quality Manager reports to the Operations Manager. 

 

How you will impact WestRock:

Directs the Quality Management System at the MillPerform as ISO Management Representative for the Florence Mill as an ISO certified millProvide training and coaching of WestRock Quality System principles and practicesEnsure that systems are in place to meet customer expectationsImplement quality systems –Policies, ProceduresBuild synergies with customersCustomer Service: QIRs/ACRs, contacting customers, studying trends, etc.Supervision of the Paper and Environmental labs and department personnel responsibilitiesProvide mill with tools to monitor their operation and maintain quality data, for individual customersFacilitate and drive improvement projects targeting improving customer satisfactionAdvise appropriate managers of specific quality issues or trendsCompliance/Audit – provide validation that best practices are being followed as being followed as prescribedOversight for the areas specific to document management, calibration, internal assessment, management review, and employee training as it relates to the Quality Management System

What you need to succeed: 

3 + years of Quality Management Systems experience in corrugated, folding carton, food & beverage, or general manufacturing industryBachelor’s Degree preferredSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferredISO certification preferredCompetent with Microsoft Office and Statistical SoftwareCapable of representing WestRock to our customersCapable of traveling 30% or more of time
