Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
Responsibilities
Drive organizational transformations towards end-to-end supply chain responsibilities. Identify performance issues and drive performance improvements with the team in order to reach agreed targets. Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects. Evaluate, optimize, and be accountable for master data input into SAP such as lot sizes, safety stock, make-to-stock vs. make-to-order, total replenishment lead-times, etc. Monitor plant load, identify capacity shortages and drive capacity extension. Proactively approach other functions and supply chain partners for end-to-end optimization Promote a culture that reflects company’s values, encourages outstanding performance and promotes positive work environment, as well as strengthening regional team spirit within and across other functions. Reward productivity as part of an ongoing process to establish TE as an employer of choice. Provide accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate project status, key metrics, and performance indicators to management and stakeholders. Recruit diverse candidates, develop, coach, and mentor a best-in-class sales team to ensure every customer opportunity is maximized. Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain optimization and planning in comparable environment, close to manufacturing operations, preferable Automotive Proven experience in organizational transformation, team leadership and team development Proven track record of supply chain improvements and related performance improvement results Wide range of planning experience (Capacity planning, supply planning, fine scheduling) Working experience with supply chain planning systems and SAP ERP system. Strong supply chain knowledge, also manufacturing background and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Power Point). Knowledge in supply chain/ master planning and ERP systems Strong leadership and communication skills, including presentations, able to give direction in cross-functional environment, able to motivate and support and influence colleagues in other functional areas Committed, entrepreneurial, proactive working attitude (“driver for change”) Strong analytical, detailed oriented, financial, and strategic thinking skills. Culturally sensitive in operational working environment. Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff. Lean Material Replenishment and Flow experience/ Lean Certification and Six Sigma Training or Certification. APICS CPIM and SIOP Certification a plus. Functional / Technical Skills: Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment. COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $123,000 – 183,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
