Primary Duties
.
1. Coordinates with and acts as a liaison between the Business Unit and Corporate Information Services to manage Information Services/Information Technology (IS/IT) planning, design and implementation. (Directly work with the CIO to gain perspective and direction.)
2. Oversees the implementation and support of the telecommunications infrastructure in the Division, including WAN/LAN, data, voice, telemetry, radio and video.
3. Oversees the implementation and support of the mobile connectivity in the Division, including vehicle modems, smartphones, handheld meter reading devices, handheld GPS collections devices and handheld wireless meter reading devices.
4. Oversees the implementation and support of computer hardware in the Division, including servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, plotters, scanners, display boards, office mechanical systems and UPSs.
5. Oversees the implementation and support of computer software in the Division, including managing security access systems, licensing and inventory.
6. Coordinates onsite problem resolution for all IS/IT related issues. Seeks out Corporate Information Services advice and assistance in resolving various issues and problems.
7. Develops and implements corporate standards and procedures for telecommunications and computer systems.
8. Provides technical direction, support and guidance to staff and users as needed in adhoc reporting functions.
9. Manages data center functions to support the Divisions telecommunications and computer systems requirements including standard backup procedures.
10. Coordinates and monitors contractors and vendors during installations, additions, changes and/or removal of computer and telecommunications services/equipment to ensure effective service for users and proper costing.
11. Plans, directs and coordinates the Division IS/IT planning task force as Chairperson; provides information to Division staff regarding planning issues.
12. Develops and monitors budgets to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Provides sub-budget review for the Division. Plans and directs the achievement of goals and objectives within established company policies.
13. Maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. Selects, develops, trains, motivates and evaluates the performance of assigned employees.
14. Leads as a culture champion by promoting our vision, strategy, AtmoSpirit principles, and supporting wellness and safety initiatives.
15. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, and Computer Science or a related field and five years of related experience; or equivalent.
Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and /or provide explanations and/or modifications on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics.
Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment.
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
