WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?The Mortgage Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and execution of the mortgage & home equity processing teams. The Mortgage Processing Manager also functions as a key contributor in work flow management, process development, policy and procedure ownership, monitoring work flows, pipeline and queue management, to ensure all loans on or before the established closing date as well as provide an analysis of data and findings regarding all loan activities to senior management. The Mortgage Processing Manager also reviews system and process work flows to identify and recommend operational efficiencies. Must be in good standing under "The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008" (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the "Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry"; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?Analysis and reporting of department production and quality results. Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on all loan activities to the Mortgage Fulfillment ManagerEstablish process enhancements where required and provide continuous training to colleaguesManage, monitor and measure the performance of queues and processesEffectively monitor queue performance, identify patterns and trends causing issues and work towards business solutionsManage the mortgage and home equity processing teams including processors, leads, and supervisorsMaintain scalability and growth of various operational processes through automationWork cross-functionally with department leaders to meet and exceed monthly production/quality targetsStays up-to-date with applicable regulations and compliance. Becomes the single point of contact to support creating and maintaining departmental procedures, job aids, quick reference guides, work flows, and training materialDevelop and maintain a strong working relationship with other departmentsEnsure all loans are handled in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelinesSupport, recommend, and implement technology initiativesTracking and monitoring of all departmental production and quality metrics, including SLA adherence, monthly funded units, turn ratios, funding within initial commitment, etc..Responsible for hiring, training, retaining, developing, counseling, and terminating colleaguesOther duties as/or assigned by management
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Required Qualifications*H.S. DiplomaMinimum 7 years of mortgage operations experience, with a deep understanding of processingMinimum 5 years of mortgage operations management experienceMust be in good standing under "The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008" (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the "Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry"; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act. Additional QualificationsBachelor's degree highly preferredExpert knowledge and familiarity with federal/state regulatory policies and proceduresAbility to analyze and evaluate information from a variety of sources with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage risk while ensuring optimal value and outcomes are achievedStrong analytic, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented and goal drivenAbility to maintain high levels of performance, especially in stressful situationsExcellent organizational skillsProven ability to lead, coach, and mentorStrong PC skills
