We look forward to meeting you. **The Role** This position will supervise day to day operations in support of Trades hiring and On-boarding in a busy Talent Acquisition department. Duties to include oversight of Talent Acquisition staff and corresponding work assignments. Will lead and assign work to staff by leveraging employee skill sets, establish work team goals and evaluate employee performance. Will utilize strong verbal and written communication skills for general correspondence, presentations and facilitation. The ideal candidate will have experience as a team leader and will be comfortable driving customer service, accountability, engagement and business results. Position will work closely with management to support Trades manning plans and strategize to advance the recruiting, on-boarding and transfer experience. The candidate should be familiar with employment law, hiring practices and compliance requirements for government contractors. Will support activities related to enhancing and growing ties to the military, high schools and trade schools to build robust workforce pipelines. Will work with the team on continuous process improvements to enhance the candidate experience, making NNS the Employer of Choice. Must be open to collaborate with other parts of the business to successfully partner on projects and initiatives. Critical thinking and problem solving competencies will be needed to address business challenges and meet team and Company objectives. Conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees and refers job applicants to specific job openings. Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, physical and personal qualifications, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral. Prepares rating on applicants, makes recommendations on starting salaries, and provides applicants with information on the company. May administer tests and interpret results, check references, arrange transportation of selected applicants, extend formal job offers, work with outside agencies and vendors, etc. **Must Have** Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: + NNS Apprentice School graduate + Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate + Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience + Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience + High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience + High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience **Why HII** We build the world’s most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
