What You’ll Do:
Main Job Objective
Ensure our book is maintained properly in a timely manner
Co-work with MSP (Managed Service Provider, a/k/a shared service center) located outside Japan to make sure our financial operations are processed properly.
Perform troubleshooting of financial operation-related issues with stakeholders such as Global Team, MSP, and local Finance Team
Improve efficiency of financial operations
Maintain the right level of internal control over financial reporting
Completion of annual tax filing, co-working with tax accountant corporation
Support to prepare an annual budget and monthly re-forecasting of the entity
Essential Job Responsibilities
Prepare financial reporting for the global headquarters
Review monthly closing to ensure all the revenue and expenses are booked properly
Be responsible for General Accounting, Account Receivables, Account Payables, Travel and Entertainment, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Tax Affairs, etc., co-working with MSP. Supervise MSP as needed.
Lead or support so that we would have appropriate internal controls over financial reporting, including inventory counts
Responsible for CAPEX booking including CIP (Construction in Progress) and depreciation/amortization expenses.
Support to prepare an annual budget and monthly re-forecasting
Other ad hoc work and reports
You’ll Need to Have:
5 years of working experience in relevant positions especially in bookkeeping and/or financial analysis
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related / or relevant accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
Communication skills in both Japanese and English (English – writing and reading skills)
Problem-solving skills
Adaptability and being open-minded to changes
Self-leadership
Attention to details
We’d Love to See:
US or JP CPA preferred
Experience in SAP / Hyperion preferred
Willingness to learn in a global environment and in a fast-paced business environment
