The MICHELIN Guide and Tablet Hotels are two brands within the Michelin Lifestyle ecosystem that comprise our hotel booking business. We’re all about discovering the world's most extraordinary hotels — places where you'll find a memorable experience, not just a room for the night. We’ve scoured the earth, evaluating hotels that meet our high standards across every price point, creating a hand-picked selection that’s proven and inspired.
Our mission is to open doors to places people will love that they might not have found on their own, extraordinary places that reflect the beauty and diversity of the world. Our team believes that travel brings people of all backgrounds together. Our hotels provide an unforgettable backdrop for that union.
Headquartered in New York City and Paris, we operate in eight languages and now recommend over 6,000 incredible hotels located in over a hundred different countries. And if you really want to take it to the next level, our Tablet Plus Travel Club provides VIP upgrades and amenities at hundreds of our properties.
MICHELIN Guide Hotel Inspector (Asia)
Reporting to the Head of Hotel Selection, the Hotel Inspector (Asia) works within the Restaurant & Hotel Selection Team which ensures our hotel portfolio is second to none and provides enormous value for our users. This is a brand new role that will evolve over time.
As a Hotel Inspector you’ll be on the front lines of curation, personally researching and sourcing new hotels into the selection. You’ll actively review and vet hotel recommendations across internal and external channels including hotel applications, user recommendations, and network leads. You’ll ensure that the quality of our selection is maintained through regular scrutiny and interface with our Customer Service team on hotels that should be re-evaluated or removed.
Additionally, you’ll be an active participant in the positioning of hotels on our platforms through collaboration with editorial, creative, and operational teams assisting with hotel page creation and hotel details and data accuracy.
Being a Hotel Inspector means masterfully curating hotels according to stringent selection criteria. This requires extensive hotel knowledge and a nuanced understanding of hotel categories and offerings, current international and design trends, service norms, traveler expectations, global hospitality cultures, and sustainability practices. Being a Hotel Inspector also means a deep appreciation for anonymity. Hotel Inspectors do their work with nearly no interaction with hotels, the industry, or under the influence of others.
