JOB DESCRIPTION

The following is not intended to represent an all-inclusive list of job responsibilities, but to outline the ESENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the position.

Basic Function:

Under supervision, performs assembly operation of microscopic components through the threading or sub-assemblies to form a final product. Visually inspect the assembly and seal per each station and packaged product.

Responsibilities:

Thread stitches according to manufacturing procedures.Assemble microscopic parts, needles, stitches, screws, ceramic and/or other parts through sub-processes, depending on the specification of the productPull, cut and paste instruments assembly of microscopic description and requirements according to standardized parameters.Visual inspection of stitches, threading, knots, microscopic assemblies, bonding, sealing process, product packaging, or other.Visual Inspection via microscope of critical and not critical attributes.Transforming raw material for sub assembly through physical or mechanical manipulation of the material consistently.Take the handle, place it in suction line, pass sutures within the tube of the handle, align, and adhere to needles, screws or other, depending on the specification of the product.Check parameters of sealer and perform preventive maintenance tasks, documentation required by applying the Good Manufacturing Practices and product labels to receive, seal and packing.Prior starting a task, verify the equipment, report any non-conformity detected in the equipment before you begin the task.Maintain order in the work area according to the good manufacturing practices, 5 pillars and run each process following the standardized parameters for the assembly of each product.Ensure the cleanliness of the areas and/or parts using authorized cleaners within the procedure.Use computerized programs to program and/or inspect the sub assembly or product components to complete the manufacturing processes.Continually comply with the standards required by ISO, QSR and the policies of EHS.Communicate and/or stop any process which can cause a non-conformance to the condition of the product.Perform repetitive tasks and frequent complying with the parameters of quality, production goals, using standardized processes, tools and equipment.Working with written instructions, drawings and/or photos.Comply with good documentation practices.Perform work rotations as required.Take critical measures for inspection in accordance with the requirements of the operational procedures.Follow the procedures established to respond to any emergency and/or report any incident of personal safety, environmental or equipment.May generate and handle hazardous waste strictly according to the environmental policies and practices of the company and the provisions established by the federal law for the hazardous waste management.May participate in the development of the environmental improvement projects and security, which imply reduce, minimize or eliminate the environmental aspects and impacts on the work area.

Physical Requirements:

Visual Health and visual acuity (preferably with 20/20 vision correction)Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequent and/or up to an insignificant amount of constant force to move objects.Usually requires to be seated and using the hands for extended periods of time.Ability to look with precision and detect errorsAbility to work, assemble microscopic parts, small objects or components.Demonstrate good skills/motor skills, with emphasis on the fine motor system.Grab precise microscopic parts using gloves required according to the established controls as part of clothing controls.

Mental Requirements:

Attention to detail, ability to maintain and verify that the information that is found in documents or systems is complete in all its parts. Be careful in the work that is done and must strive to complete the tasks.Observe and correct minor inconsistencies.To follow detailed instructions.Complete detailed documentation correctly.Ability to read, interpret the information contained in the manuals of Standard Operating Procedures of the manufacturing site.

Required Skills:

Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as: add subtract, multiply, divide, and use percent and decimals, using a calculator.Read instructions in photos or drawings.Ability to operate small hand tools (pliers, scissors, keys, screws, needles, etc.)Make knots using support teams such as microscopes, tweezers, thread stitches, etc.Ability and willingness to participate in and actively contribute to a team for the attainment of the goals of the plantAbility to use computers and enter data to electronic systems.

Required Experience:

Preferable with experience in the operation of small parts, handling of sutures and manufacture of components through microscopes in an environment of clean room manufacturing.Preferably experience in manufacturing processes that impact the quality of the product as a result of the task.At least 4-6 months of proven experience in the manufacturing of Pivot Intraline & Pro-cinchProficient in quality inspectionMust have experience working with microscopes in the assembly microscopic parts.Preferably experience in cutting and threading implants.
