In a manufacturing team environment, assembles printed circuit boards, electronic components, subassemblies, or systems using a variety of materials, tools and documentation. Demonstrates advanced wiring, soldering and assembly skills, including rework, fine pitch, precise dispensing application, and comfortable working under a microscope.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads and performs assigned tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructionsPerforms assigned work within defined labor standards, stated production schedules, and corporate quality goals Follows proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures at all times and is knowledgeable of and performs job in accordance with proper material handling procedures and guidelinesThe employee shall be knowledgeable of and perform job functions in accordance with corporate policies and proceduresCreation has established metrics with job performance goals and objectives The employee shall understand the metrics that apply to his or her job and understand how they contribute to the overall corporate objectivesPerforms complex tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, customer provided documentation, sample assemblies, and verbal instructionsPerforms essential complex assembly tasks, using power de-paneling and lead trimming equipment, pneumatic power tools and automated wash equipmentPerforms micro assembly and/or micro soldering under a microscope, along with other advanced assembly activities, including curing using ultraviolet lightPerforms soldering of ‘plated’ through-hole (PTH) components or surface mount components (SMT) and displays a proficiency and ability to achieve IPC A 610 Class II workmanship standardsPerforms basic rework of PTH electronic assemblies to correct or modify according to instructionsPerforms on-line go-no-go testing and in line inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet productionEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)7 years’ experience in advanced micro assembly work and/or reworkOR equivalent combination of education and experienceREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Component identification skills for both PTH and SMT components, including polarity, are requiredFamiliarity with use of calibrated tools used for assembly, measurement and verification, such as pneumatic power tools, torque drivers or critical measurement tools such as calipers and pin or hole gauges is requiredSoldering skills to perform all plated through-hole tasks and basic installation or touch up of surface mount components are required for this positionAbility to demonstrate advanced soldering and advanced assembly skills under a microscopeKnowledge of rework techniques for PTH assemblies is requiredWorking knowledge of IPC A-610 specifications is requiredAbility to perform simple computer related tasks such as data entry, look up information related to job tasks, and emailThis position requires excellent manual dexterity, excellent vision and the ability to stay seated for long periods of timeMust possess the ability to read and speak English to comprehend moderately complex written and verbal instruction Must have the ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbersHave some understanding of basic metric measurements and tolerances as they apply to dimensional measurements of manufacturing processes and drawingsAbility to apply common sense and good judgment to carry out detailed, moderately complex written or verbal instructions Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
