Job Description
This role supports the ongoing processes of the Quality Control Laboratory by conducting microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products using Petri film and agar plate methods. Responsibilities include media preparation and sterilization, sample preparation, inventory management, and compliance with cGMP.
ResponsibilitiesPerform microbiological analysis on raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and environmental monitoring.Conduct media preparation and sterilization.Prepare samples for testing and manage sample inventory and shipping.Perform basic laboratory testing and clean glassware.Ensure compliance with cGMP standards.Support Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.Assist Laboratory Supervisor and Management with other duties as directed.Willing to work holidays and weekends as requested.Essential SkillsProficiency in microbiology and laboratory techniques.Experience in a cGMP Quality Control Laboratory environment.Understanding of aseptic technique and general microbiology test methods.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Fluency in using software such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical degree (2-year) with 2 to 4 years of laboratory experience or a 4-year degree with 1+ years of experience.Minimum 1-year experience testing microbial samples in cGMP environment related to drugs, dietary supplements, or medical devices.Good manual dexterity.Work Environment
The role is situated within a Quality Control Laboratory that operates under cGMP and SOP requirements. The candidate will engage in activities requiring strict adherence to departmental guidelines and must be prepared to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
